Clay Street

This existing 5,500 sq. ft. residence originally built in 1900 is located in the prestigious Presidio Heights neighborhood. Time and neglect contributed to a tired and overgrown façade that required an extensive remodel staying true to its early San Francisco heritage. The new design implemented a complete exterior remodel consisting of custom hand crafted architectural elements to match the details of the original time period, livening the character to a historical San Francisco long gone by. Rejuvenating the existing barrel dormers proved to be a satisfying challenge, as well as matching much of the exterior woodwork. Removing stucco added to the exterior in the 1930's brought the house in line with its original style, and all new custom crafted radius windows and a grand front entrance completed the package.

Along with the exterior remodel the house received a complete interior reconfiguration and remodel. All new custom casework throughout and many original details with a hint of modern flair contribute to the resurrection of its original charm, bringing light and life to a dark and forgotten house.
